Agriculture Department

Overview

The Agriculture Department of GHADC was established in 2012 with the objective of promoting the farming community of the Garo Hills region in a sustainable and progressive manner.

Leadership and Responsibilities

Agriculture Officer (Head of Department)

The Agriculture Officer is responsible for:

1. Overall control of official matters within the department.
2. Supervising the duties of sub-ordinate officers and staff.
3. Exercising authority to take disciplinary action against staff and subordinates.
4. Overseeing and monitoring the implementation of all agricultural programs.
5. Ensuring the smooth functioning and administration of the office.

Agriculture Extension Officer

1. Assists the Agriculture Officer in carrying out departmental duties and program implementation.
